SOLD

A pair of substantial, reclaimed, original Art Deco oak doors. The doors are very well made and have mortise and tenon joints, a rebated inner edge and would be suited to internal or external use. Each door has a large glazed panel, retaining its original plain glass. The glass is legal and will meet safety standards as it has had a safety film applied to glass on the internal face of the doors (with the bolts). The doors can be used externally but the doors must be hung with the glass film on the inside. The film has a safety stamp with the necessary codes on each window. Purchaser will be supplied with care information about how to clean and maintain the film as it is expensive to replace. Please note that it is possible to replace the film, should it be necessary, and we can also provide the information of the firm who can carry out this work in the home. The oak has been stained or varnished and has a rich colour that highlights the attractive grain. The door has bolts on the inner face and a metal handle on each side. The doors are in very good condition but have some slight signs of wear and a small amount of damage. The doors have some small knocks, marks and chips. There is some colour variation and staining to the oak. There are some small cracks, mainly at the joints round the glazing panels and some slight separation to some of the joints. There is a small amount of damage to one edge of the oak, next to the glazing panel, where there is a small amount of wood missing. The handles are different colours and have some tarnish. The door heights may need very slight levelling. The doors are very well made and have an attractive appearance, ideal for adding period charm and character to a home.
