A pair of elegant, reclaimed, Victorian Cardiff doors for glazing. The doors are best suited to internal use and have been well made. The doors have a traditional appearance with gunstock stiles and each door having a solid recessed panel at the base, surrounded by thick mouldings. Above the solid panels, the doors have several panels for glazing. Each door has two large panels that are surrounded by thinner border panels and square corner panels. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. Each door has been painted but the paint has chips, marks and staining and will need sanding and re-painting by purchaser to suit. The doors are in solid condition but do have some signs of wear commensurate with age. There are some knocks and chips and there is a hole near the base of one door. The doors have some marks and holes from hardware removal. There is some light damage to one edge and the base of the doors have some chips and light damage from where there is some softness at the base of one inside edge. The glazing bars on the back face of the doors are uneven and have some roughness and there is some light damage, especially to a top glazing bar where the wood has been knocked. There is a patch repair to one hinge slot and the hinges have been cut and will need replacing. The door heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors are a nice example of Victorian design and will make a lovely show piece within the home.
