Two pairs of reclaimed hardwood doors that could be used as a set of 4 room dividers. The doors have a very elegant appearance and have been well made. Each door has a large recessed panel with planked detailing. The top of each door has an Art Nouveau stained glass panel with a pretty design, typical of the era. The glass does have some breaks, seen in the pictures. We can quote to have the glass repaired, please contact us for details.
The doors are very heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints and the wood has been varnished, however the varnish is peeling and there are marks and chips and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the doors to suit. The doors are currently set up as two pairs and the doors could be uses as pairs again or set up for use together, as a set of four, making ideal room dividers. The doors are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of use and age, as expected of antique items. The doors have some knocks and chips and there are some deep scratches and marks visible. The doors have some slight damage to corners and edges and one corner has been repaired with wood glue (corner with tape attached). One inner edge has a large knock. The doors have some marks, indentations and small holes left from hardware removal. The glass has some scratches. Door heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a lovely period appearance and the stained glass is a real feature, perfect for making a statement in the home. The doors are well made and elegant and are perfect for a period property.
