A pair of very substantial, reclaimed, Gothic style oak external doors. The doors are very heavy and well made and have a planked construction, with each door comprising of 6 planks and an oak framed construction on the back face. The oak has been sanded to bare wood, highlighting the interesting grain. The back face may require some further light sanding and then the oak can be finished to suit. The door furniture has been removed but it is included for purchaser to re-attach if desired. The door furniture includes 4 iron, Gothic style, door straps, 2 sliding bolts, 2 escutcheons, a lock plate and barley twist handles. The door furniture is reclaimed and has surface rust and purchaser will need to re-seal and paint the metal before use. The doors are in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The base edges have some knocks and chips. The oak has some thin surface cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of the doors. There is some colour variation in the oak and the back face of the doors will need some light sanding. There are some stains and shadows where door furniture has been removed but it is included for re-attaching. There are some small holes left from hardware removal. There has been a patch repair to the inside edge of one door and the oak patch will need slight trimming to fit snugly with the lock. The lock has no key. We could trim the patch repair for you unless you wish to replace the lock as it would need to be shaped to fit. The door heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a fantastic Gothic style and are very nicely made. The doors imposing size and fantastic character that would make a real feature for a home or business.
