Two reclaimed, Victorian, internal four panel stripped pine doors that could be used individually or as a pair. The doors have a traditional design with two larger panels over two smaller panels and are solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The doors have recessed panels with decorative mouldings on both sides. The pine has been stripped but please note, the doors have some residue moisture left from the strip tank and therefore the doors are NOT suitable for painting. The doors were used individually and can be used this way again or they could be used as a pair. We can include closing beads to be added to the inner edges of the doors by your carpenter, if you wish to use the doors as a pair. Please let us know at time of purchase if you would like closing beads for the doors.
The doors are in reclaimed condition with some signs of age and damage, as expected of antique items. One door has had a large patch repair to the lock edge, where damaged wood has been replaced with a pine patch. The doors have some holes and marks from hardware removal. Some holes have been filled with wood filler. The pine has some knocks and chips. There are darker patches where the residue moisture can be seen. The hinges are broken or absent and hinges and hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The top of one door has some wood missing, perhaps from removal of hardware and there is a notch out of the top edge. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very nice traditional appearance and are in good condition, making them ideal for adding period character to a home.
