A pair of thick and heavy, modern, reclaimed glazed hardwood doors that are suitable for internal use only. The doors are joinery made, have an elegant appearance and are made of a hardwood, perhaps iroko. Each door has a veneered panel that is raised and fielded, with decorative beading around the edges. The doors have a rebated inner edge so they sit nicely together. The top of each door is glazed with clear glass and the panels have decorative metal grills with an interesting design. The glass may pass safety regulations due to the presence of the grills but please check with your builder before the doors are used. We can offer to re-glaze the doors, if desired, for an extra charge. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote.
The doors have a scumble paint effect but there are many losses to the paint and some flaking and chipping and purchaser will need to sand and re-paint the doors to suit. The doors are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. The door heights may need slight levelling. The doors have some knocks and chips especially to the edges and corners. One of the doors has a splinter of wood coming away. The grills have some dirt and dust trapped behind them and will need further cleaning. There are some holes and marks left from hardware removal. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors are of a very nice appearance and would suit both period and modern homes. The doors are versatile and well made and will add great character to a home.
