Code: DP0523
Dimensions:
A pair of very handsome, reclaimed, pine doors for internal use. The doors are thick, heavy and very tall and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The doors have a very nice period design with each door having four raised and fielded panels of varying sizes, with decorative mouldings around them on one face and recessed panels on the other face. The doors have closing beads on the inner edges so they sit nicely together. The doors are very tall at 250cm-251cm but you could cut the top panel off each door to achieve a height of 197cm with the doors still retaining their structural integrity.
The doors are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected of reclaimed items. The doors have been stripped and there is some residue caustic in the wood and the doors CANNOT be painted as the paint would sweat off and therefore they are only suitable for internal use. There are some stains left from the stripping of the doors and the pine has some marks and scratches. The doors have some surface splits. The panels have some cracks and there are some gaps at the sides of the panels. There is some slight separation where some of the mouldings meet. The bottom bolt does not work and is now a decorative element only. The top bolt does still work. The doors have some holes and marks left from hardware removal. The doors have some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. The door heights may need some slight levelling. One door has hinges still but they have surface rust and tarnish. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors are ideal for dividing a room or for other projects and are very desirable and have a fantastic period appearance.
