An elegant, reclaimed, Edwardian painted pine door. The door is solid and well made, with mortise and tenon joints and was originally used as a front door but could be converted for interior use as it has no letter box space. The door has a nice appearance, typical of the Edwardian era. The base of the door has three slender raised and fielded panels and the top of the door has six glazed panels. The door has the traditional Edwardian detailing of a "shelf and apron" below the glazing panels. The door is glazed with clear glass but purchaser MUST ensure the glass meets current safety standards and change it if it does not. We can re-glaze the door for an extra charge, if required, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has a drip bar at the base that could be removed by purchaser if the door is to be used internally. The pine has been painted but there are chips, flaking and marks and purchaser will need to sand and re-paint the door to suit.

The door is in solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The door has some knocks and chips from use. The drip bar has some splitting and cracking. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair the hole left from the removal of the lock, for an extra charge. Please contact us for details and a quote. The hinges have surface rust. The glass has some large scratches. The door is a nice example of Edwardian design and would add great character to a home.
