An elegant, reclaimed, painted pine Cardiff door dating to C.1900. The door has a very pretty appearance and the top panels have been glazed with textured rippled glass and the centre panel has stained glass. The stained glass flower has bright greens and red. The door is well made with gunstock stiles and mortise and tennon joints. The lower half of the door has two recessed panels with decorative mouldings. There is space for a letterbox plate. The door has been painted, red on the external face and white on the internal face. The paint has chips, marks and flaking and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the door to suit. The door is in solid condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The rippled glass has some breaks and cracks and some panels will need to be replaced. The stained glass has some scratches and some bubbles. There are some knocks and damage to the glazing bars. The pine has some knocks and especially to the edges and corners and some thin surface splits. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair larger holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The top of the door has a thin baton, which has broken at one end and will need to be removed by purchaser before hanging the door. Please see pictures for condition details.
