DP0339 PAIR OF RECLAIMED VICTORIAN PAINTED PINE GLAZED DOORS

Code: DP0339

SOLD

A pair of reclaimed, late Victorian, painted pine glazed doors. The old school doors are very well made, solid and heavy, with mortise and tenon joints. The base of each door has two recessed panels with decorative moulding. The top of each door has 6 glazed panels. The panels are glazed with wire safety glass. The glazing bead can be removed and the glass changed. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. Please note if the glass is changed it must meet current safety standards. The doors are currently painted dark blue on one side and light blue on the other but the paint has marks, stains, cracks and flaking and the doors will need sanding and re-painting by purchaser to suit. The doors have been used internally but could be converted to be used as external doors. The doors are in solid condition with some signs of use and damage, as expected of reclaimed items. The doors have some marks, knocks, chips and wear. There are some small holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. The door heights may need slight levelling. There are some surface cracks and the base of the doors have some damage and splits. Some of the splits have had glue repairs. The glazing bead is removeable and there is some chipped paint where beading has been taken out. Some of the panel mouldings have uneven edges. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a nice appearance and are well made and they will be a nice period addition to a home.
