A pair of reclaimed, original, stripped pine Victorian shutters. The shutters comprise of 7 leaves, 3 to sit on one side and 4 on the other side and each side is hinged together so they can fold back behind the outer shutter. The shutters have recessed panels and the outer shutters have decorative mouldings. The shutters have been stripped and a wax finish applied giving them a very nice appearance. The shutters are in solid antique condition with some character signs of age and some damage. There are some small splinters and knocks and there are some small surface splits. The base of the shutters do have some damage and some cut marks. There is some light colour variation. The hinges have some light tarnish. There are some wood knots, some of which have been filled. One shutter edge is uneven where some wood has worn away. There are some indentations and splintering where the original metal stay bar and receiver has been removed. The shutter heights may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a fantastic look, are well finished and are ideal for adding character to a window.
