A set of reclaimed, Victorian, tall pine shutters. The shutters comprise of 6 leaves, designed to sit with 3 on either side. When open, the shutters will fold back behind the outer shutter of each side. Each leaf has two recessed panels, with mouldings on the front face. The front face outer shutter on each side is painted white and the rest are stripped to bare wood that may possibly have had a finish applied at some point. One shutter has had two holes cut into it but we will patch repair these holes, included in the price. Please let us know at time of purchase if you would like the holes patched. The outer edges of the outer shutters are tapered slightly.
The shutters are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected. The pine has some knocks, chips, small holes and surface splits. One outer shutter has a split to the outer edge at the bottom. The stripped pine has some stains, possible paint splashes and marks and the painted shutters have chips and marks to the paint. You may wish to sand and re-finish the shutters to suit. The hinges have surface rust and will need to be replaced. Please see pictures for condition details. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would be ideal for adding character to a period home.
