A beautiful pair of rare reclaimed Gothic, hand carved, oak doors. The front face of the doors have very intricately carved top panels with designs typical of the Gothic style, featuring arches, reeded and circular patterns and small flowers / leaves. The base of each door has a recessed panel with 3 cover strips, forming a vertical panel design and there is a rebate on the inner edges. The oak has a good colour and attractive grain. The doors are very finely carved and they are of an ideal size for cupboard or pantry doors or to make a fantastic décor feature within the home. The front face of the doors have been stripped to bare wood and the back has a dark varnish or stain. The doors are in very good reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected of antique items. Some of the cover strips have a slight bow. There are some small areas where there is some discolouration from water staining. There are some scratches and marks to both the front and back face and there are some small knocks to the edges. The hinges have some surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a very attractive and unusually decorative design and have been very finely crafted. The doors are very versatile and are a fantastic example of Gothic style.
