Two reclaimed cast iron, curved, reeded fireback's SOLD SEPERATELY and PRICED at £95 PER FIREBACK. Each fireback is solid and well made and is likely to date to the late Georgian or early Victorian period. The fireback's have a nice design with reeded detailing and a plain band at the base. The fireback's are curved, perhaps to fit on top of a hob grate fire or for them to fit into a hearth. The front of each fireback has been blacked and polished. Each fireback is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear. There are some knocks and scratches to the cast iron and some unevenness, pitting and casting marks. The backs have surface rust, as expected. Please see pictures for condition details. Each fireback has a simple and attractive design that would suit a period or modern home and is of a nice quality.
