A reclaimed, vintage, cast iron fire back. The heavy fire back has a simple and classic design with a shaped top and a bead border around the side and top edges. The iron has been blacked and polished and the fire back has a good finish. The fire back is in good solid condition with some small signs of age and use. There are some knocks, chips and casting marks, giving a rough texture in places. The back has some surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire back has a simple classic design that would suit many interiors and could be used with a fire basket or for decorative purposes within a hearth.
