Dimensions:
A pretty, reclaimed, Art Nouveau bedroom combination fire. The fire has an elegant design, typical of the era, with flowers along the crossbar and their stems that run down down the legs to a flower bulb on each side. The fire has a shaped smoke hood with serpentine edge. The fire retains its original front bars, grill and fire brick. The fire has two fixing lugs, one on either side, under the mantel for fixings to attach the fire to the wall. The fire has a registered design number on the back, RD 385522, dating it to 1902. The fire has been blacked and polished and has a nice finish.
The fire is in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some wear, as expected of antique items. The iron has some casting marks, pitting and indentations. There fire brick has some wear and roughness to the surface. The back has surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire is a lovely example of Art Nouveau design and it would make a great period feature in a bedroom.
