Code: FF0009
Dimensions:
A classic style cast iron Edwardian fire front / fireplace. The fire front is designed to be paired with a concrete fire back and fire stool or small fire basket and the fire front sits around a fire opening. The fire has an attractive and classic design with a rounded crossbar under the mantel. The fire opening is surrounded by borders and there is a plaque style design with delicate flower motif. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a lovely finish and the four fixing lugs are present. The fire front is in very good antique condition with some small signs of age and wear. There are some slight scratches and small casting marks and holes, especially to one corner under the mantel. The mantel screws are not totally flush with the mantel. The back has some surface rust as expected. The fire front is very pretty and could be used for decorative purposes in a bedroom. The fire front is a lovely example of Edwardian design and its pretty and classic style would make it ideal for a period home.
