Dimensions:
A reclaimed, decorative, elegant carved pine fire surround with marble slips. The surround is a vintage reproduction of traditional designs of the late Victorian period. The fire surround has an ornate appearance featuring Adam style designs with a small urn with flowers and acanthus leaves along the cross bar. There is dentil moulding under the mantel and a decorative leaf border around the mantel's front and side edges. There is a repeating flower border around the opening. The pine appears to have had a varnished or waxed finish. The fire surround is paired with green marble slips that sit around the sides and top of the opening. The marble is of a good colour and has nice veining. The surround is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use, as expected. The mantel has some stains and marks and there are some knocks to the edges and some splintering to the back edge. The pine surround has some marks and scratches. The marble has some marks to the edges, small knocks and some residue plaster attached. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround has a very pretty look and it would make a lovely feature for a fireplace.
