A simple, reclaimed, painted pine antique fire surround. The surround has a classic design with a plain mantel and serpentine edge corbels underneath. The wood has been painted white, but the paint has cracks, chips and marks and you may wish to sand and re-finish the surround to suit. The surround is ideal for framing a cast iron insert and is of a smaller size, ideal for a bedroom. The surround is reclaimed and has some signs of age and wear, as expected. The surround has some knocks and chips to the pine. The left hand leg, when looking at the surround, has some beading that was coming away on the inside edge. The beading has been nailed in place but you may wish to repair this further. There is a hole on either side, under the mantel, where the fire was screwed to a wall. Please see pictures for condition details. The classic design of the fire surround makes it ideal for a period or modern property and it would fit nicely with many insert designs.
