A classic and elegant, reclaimed, Art Deco oak fire surround. The fire surround has a look typical of the period, with a flat mantel, a geometric design applied to the centre of the crossbar and decorative detail at the top of each leg. The oak is of a nice colour and it has an interesting grain. Please note that the inside edges of the legs are pine. The surround is in good solid condition with some signs of use and age, as expected. The oak has some small knocks and notches. The back edge of one leg has a split in the wood, at the top. The base of the feet have some small splits and some discolouration and staining. The oak has some small marks and scratches. The outer sides of the legs have some shadows and residue paint or plaster from where it was originally fitted and some holes. Please see pictures for condition details. The fire surround is a lovely Art Deco piece and it would make an interesting period feature for a home.
