A very characterful, reclaimed, 250 year old pit sawn Georgian floorboard. The floorboard is thick and heavy and is ideal for a shelf or another interior project. The oak has an abundance of character and interesting features and the oak has been cleaned, showing its lovely colour and grain. The edges of the board have a simplistic tongue and groove style. The last picture shows a piece of oak from the same batch that has been waxed, to show how the oak would look if you choose to apply a wax finish. The board has some signs of its considerable age, adding great character to the oak. There is some evidence of old woodworm. The tongue and groove style edges have some damage. The board has characterful uneven edges. The oak has some groves, notches and knocks. The oak has some surface splits and some small holes. There are some scratches and discolouration. Please see pictures for condition details. The board is a wonderful Georgian find and it would make a fantastic period feature.
