A very handsome reclaimed, late Victorian, Arts and Crafts oak front / external door with coloured glass. The door is heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a nice design with a panel at the base with oak planks. The centre of the door has a Gothic style iron letter plate. The top of the door is fitted with dark yellow ripple glass with lead and there are three sections with bulls-eye glass. The edges that surround the glass have chamfered detailing. The oak has been sanded to bare wood, ready for you to finish the door to suit. The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has some holes, indentations and marks from hardware removal and there are some holes that have been filled with wood filler. The door has a slight bow of approximately 5mm on the hinge edge, please contact us should you require any advice about this. The oak has some colour variation and staining. There are some knocks, indentations and grazes. The hinges have some paint residue on them. The glass has some scratches. The sides of the door have some nails in them. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of Arts and Crafts design and has an abundance of charm and character, perfect for a period home.
