Two reclaimed stripped pine doors, suitable for use as a pair. The doors were used as two singles but they are of the same design and can be used as a pair. The doors were hung the same way and in order for them to be used as a pair one door will need the hinges removing, the hinges slots and hardware holes patch repairing and new hinges added. Each door has a recessed panel at the base with plank detailing. The top of each door has 4 panels for glazing. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The pine has been stripped but there is some residue paint and some staining and you may wish to sand the doors. The doors have been stripped in a strip tank and have some residue dampness and they are therefore only suitable for interior use and not suitable for painting.
The doors are in useable condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antique items. The doors have some some softness in the wood, leaving some gouges and wear. The doors have some knocks, chips and splinters and the base edges have some knocks and chips out of them. There are some areas of residue paint in the grooves and the pine has some staining and discolouration. The glazing putty is chipping and will need removing. There are some holes and marks from hardware removal. Some of the joints have slight separation. The door heights may need levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors have a nice traditional look and once glazed they will make a nice feature in a home.
