Dimensions:
A set of reclaimed, Victorian, tall pine shutters. The shutters comprise of four leaves. Each leaf has two recessed panels, with mouldings on the front face. The front face of the shutters are painted white and the back of the shutters are stripped to bare wood that may possibly have had a finish applied at some point. One shutter has had two holes cut into it but we can patch repair these holes, for an extra charge. The shutters do not fit together currently and are therefore not attached as the edges either have slopes or rebate beading. The edges will need to be made good so they can sit together. We can do this for an extra charge. Please let us know if you require the edges making good or the holes patch repaired and we can give you a quote.
The shutters are in solid reclaimed condition with some signs of wear and age, as expected. The pine has some knocks, chips, small holes and surface splits. One shutter has a split to one edge at the bottom and one shutter has damage and splitting to one edge at the top. One shutter has a gouge out of one of its side edges. The stripped pine has some stains, possible paint splashes and marks and the painted face of the shutters have chips and marks to the paint. The hinges have surface rust and will need to be replaced. The shutters have a lovely period appearance and would be ideal for adding character to a period home.
