An attractive, reclaimed, stripped pitch pine door, suitable for internal or external use. The door, dating to C.1890-1900, is thick, heavy and well made and has a Gothic appearance with chamfered detail surrounding the four recessed panels. The pitch pine has been stripped and it has a nice colour and fantastic swirling wood grain.
The door is reclaimed and has some signs of use and age, as expected of antique items. The door has some holes, indentations and marks where door furniture has been removed. The pine has some knocks, scratches and splinters, especially to the edges and corners. The is a large surface crack at the top of the door, seen on one side and the door has some further thin splits on both sides . The pine has some stains and marks. The door has had some patch repairs to old hinge slots. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a great look and it would make a nice period Gothic feature for a home.
