DI0888 A TALL ELEGANT RECLAIMED STRIPPED PINE INTERNAL CARDIFF DOOR

Code: DI0888

SOLD

A tall, elegant, reclaimed stripped pine Cardiff door for internal use. The door, likely to date to C.1890-1900, is well made and has a traditional design with a flush panel on one face and recessed panels on the other face. Above the bottom panels are twelve panels, of varying sizes, for glazing. We can glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been stripped but there is some residue paint that can be seen and there is some residue dampness, left from the strip tank and the door is therefore not suitable for painting.

The door is in antique condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has a rebate cut into half of the thickness of the bottom edge, to allow it to sit over a door threshold (see picture 7). You may wish to level the bottom edge of the door. There are some knocks, chips and surface cracks to the pine, especially the edges and corners. The door has a wood knot hole. The door has some holes, marks and cracks from door hardware removal. The pine has some stains and marks. The hinges have surface rust. You may wish to level the door width and height. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a lovely period appearance and it will make a fantastic feature in a home.
