A very pretty and elegant, reclaimed, Victorian painted pine 9 panel front door. The door is very well made, with mortise and tenon joints. The door has a very lovely design, typical of the era, with three solid raised and fielded panels at the base. The top panels are a fantastic feature of the door and are fitted with beautiful antique stained glass and the top four panels have shaped tops. The glass has tulips and leaves in greens, oranges and reds. The colour is clear and bright and the leadwork is intact. There is a crack to one green piece of glass that will be professionally repaired for purchaser before collection or delivery. We can also quote to add toughened glass panels to the front of the stained glass for an extra charge. Please contact us for further information and a quote. The door has a metal letter box plate and all other hardware is to be supplied by purchaser. The door is in good antique condition with some signs of wear and use. The paint has some cracks, splits, knocks and chips and will need stripping and re-finishing by purchaser to suit. There are some other small scratches, chips and minor breaks to a few pieces of the glass that are not particularly noticeable. One glazing bar is currently missing but can be supplied once we are informed if toughened glass is required. The door has some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. The wood has some small knocks and chips, especially to the edges. The letter box plate has some tarnish. The door height may need slight levelling. The door has a wonderful appearance and will look fantastic once re-painted. The door is a fine example Victorian design and is a very desireable item, adding period charm to a home.
