A very pretty pair of Victorian pine doors with restored original Art Nouveau stained glass panels. The doors are suited for internal use and are solid and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The doors could be used as a pair as they are of a very similar size or individually as they do not have a rebated edge. Each door has two solid panels with decorative moldings and a large glazed panel, fitted with stained glass. The glass panel has a beautiful flower design, typical of the Art Nouveau style, surrounded by green textured border glass and clear glass panels. The lead glazing bars are new and add elegance to the design. We can supply a glazing bar to be attached to the inner face of the door for extra security for the glass. We have photographed the bar to illustrate where it should be fitted and also pictured the bars separately. Please let us know at time of purchase if they are required. The pine has been stripped to bare wood and is ready for finishing by purchaser, with either a wax or paint finish. The doors will require hardware, to be supplied by purchaser to suit. The doors have been restored to a high standard but as with all reclaimed items there are some slight signs of use and wear. The door has some patch repairs, small marks and surface cracks. The glass is intact and without breaks. Slight discoloration to the wood around the stained glass panels. The doors have very small measurement differences and may require some slight adjustments. The doors are very pretty and would be ideal for a dining room, kitchen or as a room divider. The doors are of a fine quality and are very desirable.
