A stunning, reclaimed, Victorian ex-church stained glass window. The large window has a beautiful shape, with arched top, and has very ornate painted deigns. The window has a large cross in the centre with jewelled detailing and a red and yellow circular border. The arched top has delicate pale leaves and blue designs that also feature in each of the bottom corners of the window. The stained glass is surrounded by pale, frosted, diamond glass sections. The glass is leaded, creating traditional diamond shapes. The window does have some damage, as expected of antique glass. The glass does have several cracks, mainly to the frosted diamond glass, but the window is stable. The leadwork is intact but has some slight wear and uneven outer edges. There are some scratches and light marks to the glass. Further cleaning will be required. There is some residue paint or tarnish to areas of the leadwork. Please see pictures for condition details. Please note, the window is stable but delicate and great care will be needed when transporting and fitting the stained glass. The window is a wonderful item that would make a truly beautiful interior show piece and is a desireable stained glass piece.
Height (to arched top) 132cm
