Code: M1876
A set of four reclaimed antique stained glass windows that are likely to date to the early half of the 20th Century. The set is designed to fit together in a box shape and would have originally been used as a roof light. The roof light would have had lantern glass added to it and the top of each window has a pine lip that would have helped keep the lantern glass in place. The windows could be used for this purpose again or you could remove the lip and the horns on each side that fit with the other windows and use the windows for decorative purposes or as windows. Each window has a painted pine frame and two panels with textured glass and a pretty stained glass motif in the centre and yellow bands on either side. The windows are in solid condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antiques. There are no breaks to the glass but there are some natural imperfections. The frames have some knocks, chips, indentations and wear. There are nails in the wood. The paint is chipping and has staining and you may wish to sand and refinish the wood to suit. There are some holes in the wood where screws were previously fitted. Please see pictures for condition details. The set of four windows are very interesting and it is unusual to find a roof light such as this. The windows have great character and are ideal for a home project.
Length of each window 131.5cm - 132cm approx (not including horns)
Height of each window 47.7cm approx plus lip 0.9cm approx
Thickness of window 5cm
