A substantial, original Victorian pitch pine six panelled door. The door has six panels of varying sizes, with ornate mouldings around them and retains the original ebony finger plates. The door has been well made and has unusual diamond shaped joints. The pine has had a stained or varnished finish at some point but it is fading and you may wish to sand and re-finish it to suit. The door is suitable for internal use or possible external use if some work is carried out to it. The door is in reclaimed condition with some signs of age and some damage, as expected. The door has some softness and damage to one top corner. You could perhaps trim the door if the joints allow or patch repair the door to remove the damage, please contact us should you require any advice. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. One of the finger plates has a crack. One of the hinges is not mounted to the door. The door has had a small patch repair. The mouldings have some knocks and one moulding around one of the bottom panels has some damage. The pine has fading and scratches. There are some small holes and marks from hardware removal. You may wish to level the door width slightly. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a handsome item and would add great period character to a home.
