A very handsome, reclaimed, solid oak Victorian door. The door is heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door was originally used internally but it could be converted for external use. The door has a traditional period appearance with four recessed panels, two larger over two smaller. The panels on the front face have decorative mouldings around the edges. The door has been varnished or waxed and has a nice deep colour, however there are some scratches, cracking, marks and colour variation and purchaser may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. The door is in good reclaimed condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected of antique items. The door has some knocks and chips to the edges, corners and to the base of the door. One panel has some knocks. There are some holes and marks where door hardware has been removed and hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. We can patch repair larger holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The door height may need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a lovely look, highlighting traditional Victorian design, and it would be ideal for adding period character to a home.
