An interesting, reclaimed, Gothic style pine door suitable for internal or external use. The door has been reclaimed from a Victorian prison and has a very nice Gothic arched top. The door has six recessed panels, in varying sizes, with Gothic chamfered detailing around them. The door has been painted, pale green on one side and yellow on the other. The paint has flaking and chipping and the door will need to be stripped and re-painted to suit.
The door is well made, thick and in good solid condition, however there are some signs of age and wear, as expected of antique items. There are some knocks, chips and deep scratches to the pine. The base of the door has some knocks and splintering. There are some surface splits in the pine. There are some holes from hardware removal. The hinges have surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is tall and heavy and has an interesting design, ideal for adding character to a home. The door could be used internally or externally or would make a nice garden gate.
Height 241.2cm (2412mm) from base of the door to top of arch
Width 85.9cm (859mm)
