A very attractive Victorian pine internal front door with pretty stained glass panels. The door has two flat panels at its base, with decorative mouldings around them. The top of the door has two long rectangular stained glass panels with a design typical of the late Victorian, early Edwardian era. The glass features delicate yellow, green and pink colours and the design is surrounded by clear rippled glass. The lead work is intact and the glass has no breaks or cracks. The glass is secure but has some movement and therefore purchaser may like to add some more glazing bars. Toughened glass panels could also be added to the front of the stained glass should purchaser wish to have extra security. We can add safety glass for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The door has been stripped to bare wood and is ready for finishing by purchaser. The door may not be suited to a paint finish as there is some staining and dampness from stripping. The door is fairly thin for an external door and therefore would be more suited to an inner front door within a portch. The door requires hardware, to be supplied by purchaser. The door is reclaimed and therefore has some signs of wear and use. There are some small marks, chips and some slight staining left from cleaning. The door has some filler and there are some small holes and marks where door hardware has been removed. We can patch repair holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details. There are some small chips and knocks to the beading around the stained glass. The glass is in good condition but have some small scratches and marks. The door height and width will need some leveling. The door is a lovely example of Victorian design and the stained glass is very pretty addition. The door is a stylish item that would add great character to a home.
