A substantial and handsome, reclaimed, pine external door and frame. The door is very heavy and has been well made. The door has 6 raised and fielded panels, in differing sizes, with the back face having recessed panels with mouldings around the edges. The door sits in a pine frame with sill. The original paint has been stripped but there is residue paint, staining and discolouration and purchaser will need to sand and finish the door and frame to suit. The door has two brass hinges but all other door hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser.
The door is antique and has signs of wear, age and repairs and will need some further refurbishment. The door has had some filler, fillets and patch repairs to holes and slim gaps between joints. The door and frame have some knocks, chips and splintering. The sill at the base of the frame has some damage and will need replacing. We can quote to replace the sill for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The frame has some evidence of treated woodworm. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a very handsome period appearance and once restored it would be the perfect item for adding character and charm to a home.
