A large and heavy reclaimed painted pine door likely to date to the late Victorian period, C.1890-1900. The door has good proportions and is well made, with mortise and tenon joints. The door has an attractive appearance with four recessed panels, surrounded by decorative mouldings. Please note the panels are replacements and have been made using ply wood and therefore the door is only suited for interior use. The pine has been painted, white on one face and brown on the other, but purchaser may wish to strip and re-paint the door to suit. Hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser. The door is in good solid condition with some small signs of use and age, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The paint has some scuffs, marks and scratches and the door will need to be sanded and repainted. There is some light damage to one top corner and there are some further knocks and chips to the edges and corners of the door. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is of an impressive size and has an elegant design that would add great period charm to a home.
