A very elegant, reclaimed, antique glazed Cardiff door. The door is suited to internal use and has been well made and is likely to date to the late Victorian period. The door has two solid recessed panels at the base, surrounded by mouldings. Above the solid panels, the door has several panels that are glazed. The centre panel is glazed with original clear glass and it is surrounded by plain border glass. The top rectangular border has been fitted with etched glass with flower detailing and the two corner panels are red and have a large etched leaf design. The centre panel has a safety film already applied so that it meets current safety standards. The door has been painted white but the paint has chips, marks and staining and will need stripping and re-painting by purchaser to suit. The door is in good condition but does have some signs of wear commensurate with age. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. One side edge has a crack near the base. The door has some small holes and marks from hardware removal. Some glazing putty is visible. The glass has some residue paint on the etched panels. The door height may need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of Victorian design and will make a lovely show piece within the home.
