A very elegant, reclaimed, antique pine glazed Cardiff door. The door is suited to internal use and has been well made, with mortise and tenon joints, and is likely to date to the late Victorian period. The door has two solid recessed panels at the base, surrounded by mouldings and has gunstock stiles. Above the solid panels, the door has several panels that are glazed. The centre panel is glazed with clear glass and it is surrounded by plain border glass on one side. The other side is missing the glass. The top and bottom rectangular border has been fitted with etched glass with flower detailing and the corner panels are red and blue. Please note the glass DOES NOT meet current safety standards and will either need to be replaced or a safety film fitted. We can remove the glass for sale or we can quote for safety film to be added or we could replace the glass with toughened glass. Please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door has been painted pink but the paint has chips, marks and staining and it will need stripping and re-painting by purchaser to suit. The door is in good reclaimed condition but does have some signs of wear commensurate with age. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the base, edges and corners. The door has some surface cracks that do not affect the structural integrity of the door. The door height and width may need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a lovely example of Victorian design and will make a lovely show piece within the home.
