A very elegant and pretty, reclaimed, pine antique glazed Cardiff door. The door is suited to internal use and is likely to date to the late Victorian period. The door has two solid recessed panels at the base, surrounded by mouldings and it has gunstock stiles. Above the solid panels, the door has several panels that are glazed. The centre panel is glazed with frosted etched glass and it is surrounded by red and blue border glass. We believe the glass MIGHT be toughened but purchaser MUST ensure the glass meets current safety regulations before use. If the glass does not meet regulations then the glass must be replaced. Please contact us if you would like to discuss the glass. The door has been painted white but the paint has small chips and marks and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the door to suit. The door has been trimmed previously and the door height and width may need some levelling if possible but please note the stiles are quite thin. The door is solid and useable with some signs of age and wear. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the base, edges and corners. The glass has some residue paint spots and the etched glass has some residue glue or moisture to one of the top corners. The door has some holes, marks and slight damage where the door hardware was removed. We can patch repair the hardware holes for an extra charge, please contact us for details and a quote. The hinges have some surface rust. Please see pictures for condition details. The door is a very pretty Victorian item that will make a lovely show piece within the home.
