An elegant and pretty, reclaimed, Victorian painted pine glazed internal door. The door has a very nice design, with two recessed panels at the base with decorative mouldings. The top half of the door has four panels, one larger central panel and three smaller top panels that have an arched top. Each panel is glazed with clear textured glass. The large panel will NOT MEET CURRENT SAFETY STANDARDS and it MUST be changed. We can re-glaze the large panel or all the glazed panels for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The door retains its original lock but handles and other hardware will need to be supplied by purchaser.
The door is in solid condition but has some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The door has some knocks and chips, especially to the edges and corners. The top and bottom corners and one edge have some splintering where it has been knocked. The paint has some chips and flaking. The hinges are bent and have rust and will need replacing. The door height and width may need some levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a pretty appearance that would be fantastic for a period property, adding character and charm.
