Code: DI1116
Dimensions:
An elegant reclaimed Victorian stripped pine four panel internal door. The door has a traditional period appearance with four recessed panels, two large over two smaller, with decorative beading around them. The door has been well made with mortise and tenon joints. The door has had a varnished finish applied but there are some areas with paint splashes and some scratches and scuffs and you may wish to sand and re-finish the door to suit. As the door is varnished, not waxed, it should be fairly easy to sand.
The door is in solid condition with some signs of age and wear, as expected. The door has some knocks, chips and surface splits. There are some wood knots and indentations. The door has some holes and marks from hardware removal and there is some filler applied to the hardware holes on one face of the door. The panel mouldings are coming away from the panels slightly in places. The panels have some splits and slight bowing. The lock edge of the door has a scoop out of it at the bottom (see picture 8). The hinges have surface rust. The door height may need slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has a great traditional Victorian look and would be ideal for adding character to a home.
Please note we have four similar doors available for sale, please see references DI1113, DI1114, DI1115 and DI1117 for details.
