A pair of elegant and slim reclaimed internal pine French doors dating to the late Victorian period. The doors have a very elegant appearance and are well made with mortise and tenon joints. The doors each have two panels at the base, flush on one side and recessed on the other. Each door has a large panel for glazing with a shaped top and bottom edge. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote. The doors have a painted white face and a stripped face. The doors have been stripped in a strip tank at some point and there is some residue dampness. We would recommend sanding the painted face and leaving the doors stripped to bare wood as painting them may be difficult. The doors are reclaimed and therefore have some signs of age and wear. The doors have some marks and small holes where door hardware has been removed. The pine has some knocks and splintering and there are some very thin surface splits. The base edge of one of the doors has a knock on the painted face. Some filler can be seen in one of the panels of one of the stripped faces of the doors. The hinges are cut and will need replacing. The top centre of the doors appear to be slightly higher than the outer rails. Please see pictures for condition details. The doors are very attractive and have a lovely design, perfect for adding period character to a home.
