Two pairs of reclaimed Victorian pitch pine church doors that could be used as a set of 4 room dividers. The doors have a very elegant appearance with a Gothic style. Each door has a recessed panel at the base with chamfered edges and above this are several glazed panels. The doors have a main panel with a Gothic style arched top and smaller panels above and below this. The panels are glazed with patterned, textured glass. One large panel has several cracks and another door has a smaller crack. The glass DOES NOT MEET CURRENT SAFTEY STANDARDS and MUST BE REPLACED. We can glaze the doors for an extra charge, please contact us to discuss your requirements and for a quote.
The doors are very heavy and well made with mortise and tenon joints and the pitch pine has been varnished, highlighting the interesting wood grain. The doors are currently set up as two pairs and each pair has one swing door bracket at the bottom that will need to be removed by purchaser. The doors could be uses as pairs again or set up for use together, as a set of four, and would make ideal room dividers. Please contact us for advice and information about setting the doors up to work as a set of 4.
The doors are in good reclaimed condition with some signs of use and age, as expected of antique items. The doors have some knocks and chips and there are some deep scratches and marks visible.
