A very elegant painted pine Victorian front door with panels for glazing. The door is solid and well made and is likely to date to C.1890-1900. The door is a lovely example of Victorian design and has three vertical raised and fielded panels at the base, recessed on the back face of the door. The top of the door has two large rectangular panels and three smaller arched panels for glazing. We can glaze the door for an extra charge, please contact us for details and to discuss your requirements. The door has been painted but it does have some chips and marks and purchaser may wish to sand and re-paint the door to suit. The door has a brass letterplate and there is a small view hole and an escutcheon.

The door has some signs of age and some damage, as expected of reclaimed antiques. The right hand bottom corner of the door has some softness and damage. The pine has some knocks and chips, as expected. There are some holes, indentations and marks from hardware removal, including several small holes left by nails. One of the top corners has a knock. The panels for glazing have some roughness to the edges. The hinges have surface rust. The door height may need some slight levelling. Please see pictures for condition details. The door has lovely period charm and would make a fantastic feature for a home.
