An exceptional, rare, pair of stripped pine internal, six panel, Georgian doors with architrave for both sides of the doors. The doors are a beautiful example of Georgian design, with raised and fielded panels in differing sizes and solid, well constructed, pegged, joints. The doors are very thick, heavy and solid, illustrating the quality of design from the era. The doors come with 6 pieces of architrave to frame each side of the door pair to the top and sides. The pine architrave has classic mouldings and are the perfect partner for the doors. The architrave will need to be cut to fit the doorway. The doors and architrave are stripped and ready for finishing by purchaser, either with a wax, varnish or paint. As the doors are antique there are some signs of wear and light damage. The doors have some damage to one edge, with a crack to the wood. There are some knocks, chips and small spilts. Small holes and marks where the door hardwear has been removed. The architrave has some splits, missing mouldings, knocks and wear and may need restoration. Some slight colour variation in areas. There are hinge cutouts that we can patch repair for an EXTRA CHARGE, please contact us for a quote. One original hinge is still present. Small repairs and putty can be seen. PLEASE NOTE the doors are very slightly different sizes but are able to be used as a pair. Small alterations may need to be made by purchaser. The doors and architrave have a wonderful period look and it is rare to find such a solid and well constructed pair of Georgian doors. Perfect for a period home.
