An attractive decorative cast iron Victorian combination fire

A very pretty, cast iron, Victorian combination fireplace with a classic design. The fire is the perfect size for a living room or bedroom. The fire has a pretty arched fire opening with a decorative border. The centre of the fire has an attractive design, featuring decorative leaf patterns. The fire has original smoke hood with a pretty motif and replacement front bars. The iron has been blacked and polished and has a rich colour and nice finish. The fire does have some repaired damage and slight signs of use. There was a break to one corner of the mantel and a break to the right hand side of the crossbar. The breaks have been repaired to a high standard but the repairs can be faintly seen. There is a small crack near the front bars. The repairs can be seen at the back. The fire has some small casting marks, surface rust and scratches. There are some repaired rust patches on the front face, leaving some slight indentations. One fixing lug has been replaced. The mantel has some marks along the back edge where it has been previously fixed in place. There are some small chips to the concrete fire back. The fire back has surface rust as expected. The fire has a very pretty, classic, design that would suit many types of property. A fine example of Victorian design.
