A pair of fantastic, heavy, Victorian gunstock pine doors with large panels ready for glazing. The doors are antique and reclaimed and were from the ex-Midland Hotel that formed the front of St Pancras, London. The doors have been repaired to a high standard as they did have burn marks, possibly from WW2 bomb damage. The doors are of a very high quality, very thick and heavy. Gunstock doors have attractive and well made joints and were popular in Victorian times. The doors are panelled at the base, with attractive mouldings to the front face and plainer panels on the internal face. The top half of the doors have large panels ready for glazing. Please contact us if you would like a quote for glazing. The doors are antique and therefore have some slight signs of wear, however the doors have been restored to a high standard. The doors have had some patch repairs and have been primed and undercoated, ready for a paint finish. Some small marks and staining are present on the undercoat. There is a slight knock to one top corner and a small knock to one edge that has caused splintering. The doors are of a fantastic quality and have a great deal of history. They would be ideal for a period home and their design and appearance make them very desirable.
