A classic style Edwardian cast iron combination fire, C.1930, suitable for a bedroom or living room. The fire has a pretty domed smoke hood with a daisy motif. There is an attractive design under the mantel and a simple border around the fire opening. The original, shaped, front bars and smoke flap are present and the fire opening has a concrete back in good condition. The fire also has both fixing lugs. The iron has been blacked and polished which gives a rich colour and finish. The fire is antique and therefore has some slight signs of wear consistent with age. There are some small chips under the mantel on one side of the fire. The fire has some small casting marks and scratches. The grill and small areas of the front of the fire have slight surface rust. The back has surface rust as expected, please see pictures for details. The fire has a lovely, classic, style that would go with both a modern or period home and is a very pretty and desireable item.
