A pair of reclaimed Victorian sidelights with beautiful stained glass panels. The sidelights were originally used to frame an inner front door in a Victorian home, to provide extra light in the hallway and to add decorative charm. The sidelights can be used with a door or perhaps converted into a beautiful and interesting pair of doors for a cupboard front. The sidelights are made of pine and have been painted. The glass panels comprise of textured plain glass framed by pretty blue stained glass border pieces. The top of each sidelight has a decorative arch with moulded top. Each sidelight has a solid decorative panel with attractive mouldings. The sidelights could be hinged on the outer edges to make a cupboard front and a catch would need to be attached to ensure they remain closed when shut. The sidelights are reclaimed antiques and therefore have some signs of wear and use. There are some minor cracks and breaks to the glass although it is structurally sound, please see pictures for details. Some surface rust can be seen on the glazing bars. The wood has some wear and the paint is flaking and cracked. The panels will need to be stripped and refinished by purchaser to suit. There are some slight knocks and chips to the wood. The widths are very slightly different in each panel. The sidelights are very pretty and would be a fantastic addition to a home, either as decoration to the sides of a door or as very unusual and interesting cupboard doors.
Width per sidelight 33.2cm and 32.5cm
