A pair of very fine solid oak Arts and Crafts internal doors, dating to pre 1914. The doors were removed from a fantastic Arts and Crafts house and have a wonderful period look. The doors have six panels with simple carved borders. The doors have the same design on both sides and are well proportioned. The doors have parliament style hinges and a rollerball catch on the inner edge. The doors have had extra height added at some point and this has been done by adding extra oak to the base edge. There is simple wood beading to cover the join. The doors are very heavy, thick and well constructed and have been finished with a wax. The oak has a very attractive colour and grain. The doors are antique and therefore have some signs of wear and use. The front face of one door has some deep scratches. There are some light scratches and marks to the rest of the wood. Most of the hardware has been removed and there are some marks and small holes where it was situated. The oak has some slight colour variations in areas. One door is slightly wider that the other. The doors have a wonderful style and are of a fine quality adding a great deal of character to a home.
